Caring for people is what motivates me to inform and empower myself to be able to offer safer, better, more meaningful care to those entrusted to me. Coupled with this, is my delight in seeing people grow and develop and become more than they ever thought possible – I feel privileged to be part of their journey. This is what drew me originally to the education sector and then on arriving in the UK in 2019, to the adult social care sector. I progressed through the various job roles quickly and thoroughly, studying as I worked, and today I find myself in the exciting position of moving from managing a paper-based care company to managing a digitally-based care company. I look forward to using my years of experience as a carer, teacher and care manager to support the growth and development of all our service users, staff and of course Pride of Care Ltd. itself. Here’s to achieving safe, quality, person-centred care and support together!
Nominated Individual and Registered Care Manager
Supporting and empowering people is something that has been the main focus of my life and career. I come from a teaching background, having risen to the post of Assistant Head Teacher at Secondary School Level. I am self motivated and am very passionate about empowering people and supporting each individual to aspire to get into careers of their choice and to achieve excellence. Having relocated from Zimbabwe more than 20 years ago, I have enjoyed working in the Health and Social Care Sector. Starting as a carer, I rose through the ranks working to the positions of senior carer, Field Care Supervisor, Care Coordinator. As a result of my commitment and devotion, I was soon promoted to work as a Deputy Care Manager. Having successfully completed my NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. I have worked for 3 companies as a registered care manager. Having worked in this role for years and with the vast knowledge and experience gained, I was motivated to go into business for myself. It has been my desire to open my own care business and do something positive yet completely different to improve both client and carer experiences. Being aware of the challenges faced by care staff, and desiring to make a difference by offering carers an opportunity to work for a company that truly appreciates them, putting their needs and happiness first.
I found myself being excited by the opportunity of setting up a new business where I am able to give something back to the community by looking after people in their own homes and giving them a better quality of life through a well trained and caring team of care assistants. I am a very sociable, hands on and optimistic individual, who has actively pursued personal continuous career development, and made a career of very high quality service to both staff and clients.
